Thru the Eyes of Ruby by Daisy8781@aol.com okay, it starts out in a church. keep in mind that all these scenes are in colour, but are kinda foggy, almost dreamy-looking. the little tinkling piano part at the beginning shows a woman pouring red wine into wine glasses and putting them in a big pyramid formation. the music starts and you see a little girl, about 12, with brown hair in a fancy wedding gown. there are lots of adult women hovering around her, primping her, etc. she looks quite sad. on "drag me in with maybes" you see a lake and a boat cuts thru the water. a fisherman pulls up a white wedding veil on his line and looks really puzzled by this. cut back to the little girl: she is still getting primped, and on "breathing under water" you see a tear fall down her cheek and then you see the drop fall in water. the water is really calm, and little white flowers bob around on the surface. suddenly, you see the same fishing boat as before cut thru the water and an oar comes down and churns up all the flowers. then a bunch of gross weeds and algae come out, stuck on the oar. back to the church: the girl is getting her picture taken, but when the picture comes out, there's only a dress--the place where her face should be is all whited-out. (this is on "to appear to disappear") then you see her walking down the aisle, still really sad. everyone in the crowd is wearing white, including billy, james, and d'arcy, who are also watching. a little boy, also about 12, is waiting at the altar in a white suit. "with this ring i wed thee true" --boy slips ring on girl's finger, and on "with this ring i play so dead" he lifts up her veil to kiss her. "no one's asking for the truth"---she pushes him away and runs down the aisle and out of the church. she is running away, and everyone in the church stands up--they're really alarmed. the little boy goes running after her, knocks over the pyramid of wine glasses, and all the red wine soaks into his nice white suit. you then see the girl running thru some trees or a field or something, and she finally comes to a lake. the music is softer now, and rain starts to fall. the drops turn dark red when they hit her dress. she wades out into the lake, and you see clips of her picking the petals off her bouquet. finally, on "youth is wasted on the young!" she collapses into the water, kinda sinking/drowning. then you see the little boy again---he's running out into the street, and the rain is falling. but the drops hit his red wine-stained suit and make the suit turn white again. you see him kneeling at the lake, clutching part of the girl's dress, then on "why?" he looks up at the sky (asking ' why?' ) then he throws the dress aside and jumps into the water, thrashing around for the girl. now comes the "the night has come to hold us young" part. you see the pumpkins playing their instruments in a room, then it cuts to the boy pulling the girl up from under the water. cut back to the pumpkins playing, then the girl and boy fighting in the water. now you see some little kids playing instruments in the same room and wearing the same clothes as the pumpkins. back to the girl and boy thrashing around. cut to little kids. girl pushes boy away. cut to real pumpkins singing. then you see the fisherman pull up and grab the boy out of the water. the little girl is gone. the music softens, and you see the boy crying, looking really sad and tired in the boat with the fisherman. then you see waves washing up on the shore and you see part of the girl's veil, this time it's black. the camera zooms out a bit and you see really calm water, little black flowers bobbing around, and some bubbles rise up to the surface. the end.
