Thru the Eyes of Ruby by androphora@aol.com With beginning piano part, you see Billy, head in hands, in an interrogation room. There's no door and the only light comes from overhead. There is a one-way glass, (so that the mirror side is facing this room) on one wall. As the lyrics start, Billy gets up, and starts singing. But not really singing, telling a story. After the first "And if you spin you're love around....." you see both sides of the one way glass with a split screen shot, the one of Billy singing and the one of Billy looking at himself. Up to "beneath all your darkest fears" that shot continues. at "I believe in never" you see a tombstone, but the writing is a little bit unclear. Billy is standing at the gravesite, with D'Arcy and James behind him, yelling something at him, but he is oblivious to them. "And with this ring I wed the true" you see Billy being married. D'Arcy is the maid of honor, James is the minister. You never see the face of Billy's bride though. This scene ends on D'Arcy. Second "And if you spin your love around" you see the same wedding shot, only this time it is D'Arcy at the alter, Billy is the best man. James is still the minister. "To the revelations" shows Billy back in those two rooms, the interrogation room, where he is crying, and in the other room, where he is laughing, D'Arcy and James go into the interrogation room and drag Billy away. "So keep your peace," again you see the tombstone, only this time Jimmy, (yes, Jimmy,) is standing over the tombstone, bloody knife in hand. "Your strength is my weakness" shows Billy fighting with himself, in the graveyard and then at the alter. "My love for you" finally shows the bride in Billy's marriage, himself. "We're forever frozen" shows the inside of the coffin, where there is no one." "Forever lost inside ourselves" goes back to that first interrogation room, before the confession, where a visibly upset Billy sees both his own and Jimmy's body in the coroner's office. "The Night has come to hold us young" shows Billy and Jimmy together, in their memories, and shows the final fight between them, which led to the first scene. Its sort of a spooky, concept video. I know there are hidden messages, such as "Billy killed Jimmy", or visa versa, its not suppose to represent them literally. The whole point behind Billy marrying himself is that he is often a little self-absorbed, ( to put it mildly), and as a result, he is that narsasstic.
