I Am One (The Departure) by Tmyers1922@aol.com Starts out about a guy who is sent on a business trip to India. He's a business guy in his mid-30's. If you need a picture of what he looks like, think of Dr. Drew from Loveline. Anyway, he's a man who is married but has afflictions. He's mentally depressed from the stress he's going through with the job and now being sent away from his wife, his first and only love, makes him feel worse. So we begin...... (Opening Music)- He's at the airport getting ready to go out to the plane. Kisses his wife one last time and departs for the plane. He then takes his seat on the plane. Billy, James, D'arcy, and Jimmy take their seats as well on the plane. They are all wearing business suits but their hairstyles are of the Gish-era days. Plane starts up. "I am the one as you are three"-Show's Billy sitting at his seat looking at a book mouthing the lyrics. "Try to find a messiah in your trinity"-Billy still singing looks up at the man, (the main character), who takes no notice of Billy or the band. The Man (will call him that) has a window seat. He looks out the window. "Your city to burn, your city to burn, try to look for something in your city to burn" The Man sees a group of religious radicals with signs saying "The Apocalypse is near, repent, repent". "you'll burn"-This part shows one of the radicals mouthing this part to The Man on the plane. The Man turns away fast back into the plane and has a worried look on his face. "I'm Down, down, so down"-The Man begins to have a realization. He's not a religious man, but this realization of having no faith toward anything scares him. "Time is so right for a guiding light, try to turn the reasons in your bitter life." -This part shows The Man looking over to the person next to him in the plane who is wearing a crucifix on their neck and is talking to someone looking very happy. "Your city to burn, your city to burn, try to look for something in your city to burn, you'll burn."- The Man turns to look out the window again and is haunted with a vision. He begins to see the city become engulfed in flames. His mouth drops in terror. He passes out. "See you, don't you just want to, see you, I am one." -(In a dream) The Man turns to look back in the plane to the horror that he is alone. The plane takes off. Although he thinks he is alone, Billy and the band are still there as Billy looks at him singing this part. "See you, don't you just want to, see you" -(in reality) Everything going as normal, The Man appears to be asleep. (Guitar break to the ending of the solo) -(back in the dream) The band are now playing in the plane with suitcases and dinner trays flying everywhere. The Man doesn't know how to make sense of it all. He kind of sits there in a daze still puzzled struggling with the vision of the burning city. (D'arcy's bassline) -(in reality) Everything still normal as normal can be on the plane. Everyone is watching a TV show except The Man who still "sleeps". The camera closes in on his head at the end of the bassline. (Guitar Solo up until the lyrics) -(in the dream) Even more chaos then before. Band still jamming on like nothing is going on. Billy has his hair over his face just totally in the solo as our James, D'arcy, and Jimmy. The Man still has the puzzled frightened look on his face. "See you, don't you just want to, see you, I am one." -(still in dream) Billy sings this part and angrily points to the man on the "i am one" part. The Man finally coming out of his puzzled stare notices Billy and looks afraid. "See you, don't you just want to, see you, I am one." -As Billy sings this part, he starts to morph into a demon which totally terrorizes The Man. The Man screams. (Last 2 riffs of the song) -(back to reality) Man awakens with a scream. Then, a final camera shot of the plane flying through the air towards its destination, India.
