Bodies by silverfuck29@geocities.com scratchy bit black and white...it's in a clearing somewhere in a dark gloomy forest, and it's nighttime. in the centre is a bunch of dry leaves and twigs. there's a young girl(let's call her ukyo), about fourteen or fifteen, looks like a filipina. she's trying to light the dry stuff. when the music starts the dry things burst into tall, leaping flames and the scene explodes into colour simultaneously.(there is no sound- the whole video is a mime thing with 'bodies' playing) intro bit ukyo stands back as the flames leap up and shields herself from it. suddenly she looks around, as if she's heard something freaky, and starts running(btw she's got beat up red converse sneakers) 'cast the pearls aside, of a simple life...' she trips and drops some sort of beaded trinket(pearls?:). the necklace breaks and the beads scatter all over. she scrambles up and runs some more. 'come into my life forever' ukyo enters this really jungly looking place- overgrown vines, etc., etc. 'the crumbled cities stand...' there's a full moon. ukyo looks around and she finds herself in the main square of a ruined Hindu city. as i said, there are plants crawling all over the ruins.she sees a faint glow of torchlight on the other side of the city. 'love is suicide(x buncha times)' ukyo hides behind a crumbly wall. a procession of Indian people come in(Indian as in from India, not Native Americans). They have torches. They are carrying a dead man(let's call him kirin). Bringing up the rear is a statue of a Hindu god(Brahma, Vishnu, or Siva, im not sure what's appropriate. Maybe Krishna), and a weeping girl(i'm calling her lychee). her wrists are bound together. she's wearing the same bauble that ukyo dropped earlier, and it is winking in the moonlight. lychee and kirin are about the same age(mid-twenties). this is all shot from ukyo's point of view(from behind the wall) so there are no close ups or anything. 'the empty bodies stand at rest.....afflicted by their dispossesion' the people assemble around a stone altar(it looks as if it were once very intricately carved, but is very worn now) in the middle of the square. they place kindling and dry leaves on it. everyone looks grim, and most are very sad. 'but no bodies ever knew.....no bodies' they place kirin's body on the altar. they arrange fresh flowers and leaves around him. an old woman brushes his hair back and a tear falls down(close up this time-cheez, i know). 'love is suicide'(from ukyo's viewpoint again) the old lady's expression changes- she turns around and has a hostile look on her face. she makes a motion with her hands, and some men try to get lychee to move towards the altar. she clutches the foot of the statue, shakes her head 'no'. a burly guy drags her(she's struggling all de wey) and throws her at the foot of the altar. she falls down(dust swirls around her knees) and gets tied to a nearby pillar, with a rusty iron ring on it. 'now we drive the night...' the procession leaves and lychee is left sobbing. the statue and kirin kind of look spooky in the moonlight. 'to the ironies....' well, she's still sobbing but the sky is growing lighter. 'you can't help deny forever' lychee looks around, glances at kirin, and screams with a VERY tortured expression on her face. 'the tragedies reside in you' ukyo steps out of her hiding place, and seems to make a lot of noise while doing so. 'the secrets sights hide in you' lychee looks up, frightened. 'the lonely nights divide you in two' she looks at ukyo and frantically motions her to please untie her. ukyo moves foward slowly, hesitant, and looks freaked at kirin's body. 'all my blisters now revealed' ukyo approaches lychee and sees quite a lot of scars and bruises on her arms and legs, and some on her body(lychee is wearing a very ragged sari so you can see some parts of her torso, too). 'in the darkness...' ukyo tries to loosen her bonds, and it is slowly becoming dawn. the girl suddenly looks up, very panicky. 'but no bodies....' the procession is back, and when they notice ukyo the same big man from before snarls and throws her back. antoher guy holds her. 'no bodies(the one where billy starts screaming)' they loosen lychee's bonds. ukyo looks relieved, but lychee is more scared than ever. 'love is suicide...' the procession gathers round the stone altar(still remember it? i don't) they step back and the same big man throws lychee on top of kirin. she's hysterical and looks VERY freaked at being near him(who wouldn't). the flowers and leaves are pretty wilted now, and the dry stuff under kirin's body slowly smoulders into orange. '"reeeoooowng"(end riff or whatever you call it)....scratchy bit' the whole thing leaps into flames, and at the very end it becomes black and white again. the last shot is the funeral pyre, and you can sort of see lychee's face through the flames, screaming.
