The dog days see everyone at Scratchie HQ buzzing with activity and dripping with sweat. But is it ever worth it!! The big Scratchie showcase at the Metro was SUCH a huge success. We can't thank those of you who came out for it enough. Be sure and let us know what you thought of the show if you were able to make it.
Lotsa Scratchie stuff happening in New York soon! On July 11, the one and only MIKE LADD will play not one but TWO shows for your listening pleasure. At 6 P.M., Mike is doing a reading at the Borders in the World Trade Center, and at 9 P.M. he's playing at CB's Gallery. Ask anyone who saw him at the big Scratchie showcase - Mike's live show is an experience you'd be damn fool to miss.
And THE FROGS are gracing Coney Island High with their wonderful presence yet again! On July 16, they'll play Coney as part of IntelFest with Chopper One, Perfect, and The Interpreters. Show starts at 9, and The Frogs will probably go on around 11:15. It's all ages, and tickets are $8 through TicketMaster or the Coney Island High box office. Take note - since this show is part of a festival, it's very likely you'll get shut out if you don't get your ticket in advance. Scratchie representatives were on hand for the last Coney invasion, and they report that if this show is even half as good as the last one, it's still just about the best rock show you'll see all year.
