Dear all --
Here's some exciting news from the Scratchie front. While the wind is blowing huge chunks of chilliness all over Chicago, we are fighting back by having the official Scratchie Holiday Event at the Metro in Chicago on December 21st. Its Jeremy's birthday and FULFLEJ will be performing, FOUNTAINS OF WAYNE will be there and the wonders of the CHAINSAW KITTENS will be revealed! D'Arcy and James, fresh from their tour, will be hosting the event. My God could there be a better show? No, not in any way shape or form. Tickets are $7 and its an all ages event. You can get tix through ticketmaster (the beast) or at the door (unless it sells out).
We hope that everyone comes, because we thought this might be a good way to show off alla our bands and meet all the people who have been so supportive during the last year. We are also thinking of doing some kind of special meet & Greet for all the people on the Scratchie e-mail list -- more on that as the week progresses.
Also -- if you are in Utah on the 11th, go to Spanky's to see the Chainsaw Kittens or you just happen to be in Denver on the 12th, go see the Kittens at the Lion's Lair.
Also, word back from FULFLEJ on their momentous Better Than Ezra tour has been good. The threesome have been rockin' the crowds apparently but suffering occasionally from what should be known as touring band food poisoning. But they will be playing in Dallas, TX. tonite at Deep Elum Live and tomorrow in Houston at NUMBERS.
Now, that I've used the word "also" alot we'll leave you all! Happy Hanukkah for those who celebrate it and to everyone, thanks for all your help and support, it means a tremendous amount.
