SMASHING PUMPKINS, INCOGNITO

The Star Children, billed as "a side project" of the Smashing Pumpkins, will perform Saturday at the Double Door, 1572 N. Milwaukee. The $5 tickets go on sale at 10 AM Wednesday through Ticketmaster.

The Chicago band has performed under various guises in recent years and Saturday's concert may provide a preview of the band's set for the Lollapalooza '94 tour.
