VARIOUS SMALL REVIEWS OF LET IT COME DOWN

US Magazine March 1998
Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha has created a splendid surprise. His solo debut Let it Come Down is a bright valentine floating on brilliantly realized guitar-drum-bass confections. Even his blues ("Jealousy" and "Winter") are filled with shimmying rays of melodious rock and roll. Apparently Iha's fundamental optimism isn't getting much play in his day job. It should. (Virgin)

James Iha's Let it Come Down Smashing Pumpkin's fans listen up. Forget bitter Billy here's jolly James. These eleven little rays of folk pop sunshine are as twee as an 80's John Hughes flick.

Teen People March 1998
Billy Corgan may run Smashing Pumpkins, but James Iha the band's silver haired guitarist-bassist, has made his own great album. There's no Bullet with Butterfly Wings here but it's a collection of simple pop tunes that do the ear good.
